Gemini New Moon and Solar Eclipse 5/20/12

What is, what it is?

Imagine you are in a glass bottom boat, cruising through your mind. What do you notice? What do you got going in there? Are you keeping it light, fresh and flexible or tight, too much left or right brained, flighty, or non-committal? Is what you think, what it really is? 


This New Moon in Gemini accentuates your mind, communication, siblings, short distant travels such as errands, and networking. The accompanying solar eclipse insures new dimensions of reality are to be explored. The air sign of Gemini, also encourages aerating to prevent you from hardening or stagnating. 


Get used to this need of mindfulness because the planet of increase, Jupiter, enters the sign of Gemini, 6/11/12 and will remain there for a year.


Jupiter will bring opportunities, growth and magnification through the lens of Gemini in whatever house you have ruled by this air sign. This will be especially beneficial to those of you with progressed or natal Gemini Sun, Moon or rising. For the next year, everybody will be getting to practice good Gemini skills.


It might be good to remember that Jupiter is usually not full strength in the sign of the twins. It is because this sign is opposite of the sign he rules in Sagittarius. Traditional astrology calls it ‘detriment’. He prefers synthesis, big picture, faith, stories, optimism and religious ceremony. Gemini is more about Tweets rather than thorough emails. Included in the Gemini mix are sound bites, seeing things as they are rather than believed, lots of networking, and was at one time considered the sign of the heretic in certain cults, (living off the dominant religious social grid). In any case, Jupiter will bring growth in this sign.


In terms of health, Gemini rules the upper lung, shoulders and hands. It is also connected to the nervous system. Chi needs to keep flowing in order for you to stay healthy and this goes for your relationships, business, or family life. This is how Gemini energy can help you. 


Neptune, Chiron, and Hygeia are in the sign of Pisces and play a role in this New Moon cycle. Dream work is powerful at this time. Before you go to bed at night, communicate (Gemini) with your higher self to give you a dream that will help you. This trio can bring vision, soul soothing, forgiving, and healing or unmindful words with smoke and mirrors to the facts. Remember, is what you think, really what it is?


Volunteering networks, non-profit networks, black light yoga classes, and ‘off the grid’ healing modalities are given a boost with this aspect. Take care of your ‘Self’ along the way.


Venus remains retrograde through this cycle in the sign of Gemini. She rules the heart chakra and is back tracking through the sign of Gemini to see if your heart is open or closed. This is the opportunity for your heart to re-align, so heart and mind can unite. Finances, values and relationships are re-aerating so don’t expect ‘normal?’ in these areas until after she goes direct on 6/27/12.

Yes, there will be a lot of noise making and expecting others to respond.
